Vikings Invade Camp Birch
Hear ye, hear ye! Vikings are landing at Camp Birch!
Cub Scout Day Camp is the perfect introduction to Summer Camp, and this year your Scout is invited to join the adventure. Day Camp is open to Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming fall.
Our youngest Vikings (Tiger, Wolf, and Bear) will focus on rank advancement while building strength, courage, and Scout spirit. Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will sharpen their skills, take on greater challenges, and prepare for the journeys ahead, all while having an epic week of fun.
Camp runs daily from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and each day is filled with bold adventures worthy of a Viking saga. Scouts will:
-
Conquer the 40-foot climbing tower
-
Test their aim in archery, BB guns, and slingshots
-
Sail the waters of our 6-acre lake
-
Swim in our Olympic-size pool
-
Craft treasures in Handicraft
-
Explore the wild lands around camp in the Nature Lodge
And no Viking journey is complete without a stop at the Trading Post! Refuel with a snack or drink, cool off with a slushy, and claim your legendary Camp Birch gear.
Polish your shields, gather your crew, and prepare for an unforgettable week at Camp Birch where adventure awaits and legends are made!

Information Guide
The Information Guide contains everything you need to know about Cub Scout Day Camp at Camp Birch!
Adults & Camp Staff
Adult Volunteer (Registered Cub Scout Leader)
Adult registration is free for all adults who have a current paid registration in Tecumseh Council, and who volunteer to provide leadership for Cub Scout Day Camp! We rely on the assistance of our adult volunteers to help provide supervision and encouragement to their Cub Scouts. When you register and attend Cub Scout Day Camp as an adult volunteer, every attempt will be made to keep you with your Scout. However, if leadership is needed with another group/rank, you might be asked to change groups for the day to help. If you would like, your Scout is welcome to transfer into that group for the day to be with you. Adult volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and have a current adult registration with Tecumseh Council. Volunteers will be contacted in advance of camp to review and confirm their assigned support roles and responsibilities.
Adult Non-Volunteer (Parent/Guardian)
Adult non-volunteers are $25 to cover the cost of food and facilities. Adult non-volunteers will stay with their Scouts. Please consider registering and attending Cub Scout Day Camp with your Scout.
Safeguarding Youth Training
ALL adults attending camp must have current Safeguarding Youth Training available at My.Scouting.org. You do not have to be a registered member of Scouting America to take Safeguarding Youth Training. Please bring a copy of your Safeguarding Youth Training certificate with you to camp.
Tiger Adult Partners
All Tigers (youth entering 1st grade in the upcoming fall) MUST have an adult partner in attendance the entire time they are at camp. This is National Scouting America policy. Tiger Adult Partners WILL remain with their Tiger Scout throughout camp. When registering as a Tiger Adult Partner for camp, please use the Tiger Adult Partner registration option.
Camp Staff
All program areas are run by our enthusiastic camp staff. Each of our camp programs is administered by a Nationally Certified Camp Director and Program Director. All key staff are trained in their areas of responsibility. Our staff members are carefully selected and reflect the principles of Scouting.
