Onward & Upward

Prepare for liftoff! This summer, Camp Birch is launching an unforgettable space exploration adventure. From exciting discoveries to out-of-this-world challenges, Scouts will journey farther than ever before as they explore the wonders of camp and the universe beyond.

Cub Scout Day Camp: June 14-18, 2027

Cub Scout Day Camp is the perfect introduction to Summer Camp, and this year your Scout is invited to join an exciting space mission. Day Camp is open to Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming fall. Our newest astronauts (Tiger, Wolf, and Bear) will focus on rank advancement while building confidence, curiosity, and Scout spirit. Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will take on more advanced missions, strengthen their outdoor skills, and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead—all while enjoying an unforgettable week of fun.

Camp runs daily from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and each day is packed with exciting missions and discoveries. Scouts will: scale the 40-foot climbing tower; test their aim in archery, BB guns, and slingshots; paddle across our 6-acre lake; swim in our Olympic-size pool; create imaginative projects in Handicraft; explore the wonders of the natural world in the Nature Lodge; and every successful mission includes a visit to the Trading Post! Refuel with a snack or drink, cool off with a slushy, and pick up your favorite Camp Birch souvenirs before heading out on your next adventure.

Webelos & AOL Overnight Camp: June 27-30, 2027

Webelos & Arrow of Light Overnight Camp at Camp Birch is designed especially for Scouts entering 4th or 5th grade in the upcoming fall. This immersive overnight experience prepares Scouts for their next step into the Scouts BSA program. During their stay, Scouts will complete select adventures while building leadership, outdoor skills, teamwork, and independence—the same qualities that make every great space explorer successful.

Through hands-on challenges, problem-solving activities, and this year's exciting Onward & Upward theme, Scouts will work together to complete missions, make new discoveries, and prepare for the next stage of their Scouting journey.

Launch into an unforgettable adventure as Scouts test their skills, explore new frontiers, and create memories that are truly out of this world.

STEM Cub Scout Overnight Camp: July 7-10, 2027

STEM Cub Scout Overnight Camp - Launch into adventure at Camp Birch's introduction to the excitement of overnight summer camp! This experience is open to Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming fall and their parent, guardian, or family. At STEM Cub Scout Overnight Camp, everyone will enjoy Camp Birch's classic adventures: swim in our Olympic-size pool; paddle across our 6-acre lake; climb the 40-foot climbing tower; test their aim in archery, BB guns, and slingshots; create projects in Handicraft; and discover the outdoors in the Nature Lodge.

In addition, Scouts will participate in engaging STEM activities inspired by space exploration, innovation, and discovery. They'll also have the opportunity to complete exciting elective adventures designed for all ranks—different from the more skill-focused adventures offered during Webelos & Arrow of Light Camp. This allows older Scouts to enjoy camp with their den, return with their family, and earn different electives through new experiences.

Camp/Program Payment Policies

All camp registration fees are non-refundable. Fees paid can be transferred to another participant in your unit.

Registration Deadlines will NOT be extended for any reason, and we will not issue refunds for those with technical issues that wait until the last minute. Please register early!
