NRA Shotgun Instructor Weekend provided by the Tecumseh Council Range & Target Activities Committee will be November 20-22, 2026 from Friday 6 to 10 pm and Saturday & Sunday 8 am to 5 pm at the Camp Birch Training Lodge. COST IS NOW $125. Please bring a laptop and #25 rounds of shotgun trap shells. Active CHTB Range Volunteers can save $25 by emailing DG Adams at dg98adams@yahoo.com to get a discount code. Provided: USB Electronic presentation materials and Instructor lesson plan Materials.
Required: Bring a USB capable laptop for both the Basic and Instructor portion of the course.
This is a Shooting Course with a pre-qualifier AND an Instructor Qualifier Shoot all in The same weekend.
Bring #25 rounds (minimum) of 20g or 12g Trap Ammunition to shoot your qualifier.
Less experienced shooters may need additional ammo and it can be purchased at $10 per box of #25 shells.
No personal firearms are permitted. NO LIVE AMMO in the classroom.
ONLY Camp Birch (12g or 20g) Shotguns will be used.
(All ammo will be inspected before we go to the range… leave it in your locked vehicle until we go out to the range during class).
Class Size 10 slots, and it is recommended to be registered with the BSA to attend.
Instructor: DG Adams, NRA Training Councilor, NRA Certified Rifle/Shotgun/Pistol/Muzzle Loader Rifle Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, BSA Range and Target Activity Director, BSA R&TA Director.
Additional Online NRA Fee for Credentialing Fee is Significantly reduced if you are a NRA-Member – (not required).
