Merit Badge Class Schedule
Start thinking about the classes you would like to take. What badge do you need for your next advancement? What badge looks like fun to you? Scouts can sign up for up to three merit badges, one each period. You will meet with your counselor for one hour at each of the three sessions. Some requirements may be finished during class time; most will require you to work between sessions. Some badges may require an additional meeting, example, Welding, after session three you will meet at Camp Birch do the hands-on welding.
Be sure to provide email contact information as this will be our primary means of getting your class schedule to you and your unit along with any other information. Units with Scouts coming to the Trail Drive, please send contact information for, at minimum, the Scoutmaster and your unit advancement person.
There will be three one-hour class periods with a fifteen-minute break between classes. Please be in the Commons area for our opening and comments each week at 8:30 am. Class times are Session one 8:45 to 9:45 am, Session two 10 to 11 am, and Session three 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Merit Badge Requirements
Scouts can view merit badge requirements at https://www.scouting.org/skills/merit-badges/all/. Select “Merit Badges A–Z,” then choose a badge to review its requirements and download the pamphlet for free. Many badges now include digital resources, with helpful links listed alongside the requirements.
New Digital Resource Guides are also available for many merit badges. These guides will help you in completing requirements, even without a merit badge pamphlet. The guides can be found at https://www.scouting.org/skills/merit-badges/digital-resource-guides/.
Scouts should look closely at requirements that will take time to complete, like Personal Management, 30-day budget tracking, Cit. in the Community, visit a city council meeting among others. Scouts should start working these and other requirements now so you can finish badges at the trail drive. If you cannot finish you will receive partial credit and can continue working on the badge with your counselor or another counselor as needed.
Attention Unit Leaders
- The MyCouncil Guide for Unit Leaders MyCouncil Guide for Unit Leaders contains step-by-step instructions on how to see what Merit Badges your Scouts have signed up for and monitor their progress once Merit Badge Trail Drive has begun. Also, you can download Attendee Tracking Sheets to give your Scouts. This sheet will have their registration information, list badges they signed up for with class times and room numbers. This would be most helpful.
