Onward & Upward
Prepare for liftoff! This summer, Camp Birch is launching an exciting adventure where science, technology, engineering, and exploration come together. Scouts will discover new ideas, tackle exciting challenges, and experience the thrill of adventure as they journey Onward & Upward.
STEM Cub Scout Overnight Camp is Camp Birch's introduction to the excitement of overnight summer camp! This experience is open to Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming fall and their parent, guardian, or family.
Along with all of Camp Birch's classic outdoor adventures, Scouts will participate in engaging STEM activities inspired by space exploration, innovation, engineering, and discovery. They'll investigate how things work, solve real-world challenges, and use creativity and teamwork to complete exciting missions.
At STEM Cub Scout Overnight Camp, everyone will enjoy Camp Birch's favorite adventures:
- Swim in our Olympic-size pool
- Paddle across our 6-acre lake
- Climb the 40-foot climbing tower
- Test their aim in archery, BB guns, and slingshots
- Create projects in Handicraft
- Explore the wonders of the outdoors in the Nature Lodge
Plus, Scouts will have the opportunity to complete exciting elective adventures designed for all ranks—different from the more skill-focused adventures offered during Webelos & Arrow of Light Camp. This allows older Scouts to enjoy camp with their den, return with their family, and earn different electives through brand-new experiences.
Whether they're building, experimenting, exploring, or discovering, every Scout will leave with new skills, new friends, and unforgettable memories.
The countdown has begun—join us at Camp Birch this summer as we explore, innovate, and discover that the greatest adventures begin when we go Onward & Upward!

Adult Leadership
All Tigers (youth entering 1st grade in the upcoming fall) MUST have an adult partner in attendance the entire time they are at camp. This is a National Scouting America policy.
All youth attending Cub Scout Overnight Camp must be registered in Scouting and under the supervision of their parent/guardian or an adult who has agreed to be responsible for that Scout.
Camp isn’t just fun for Scouts. It’s a great way for parents and leaders to engage and reconnect with their Cub Scouts. While program areas will be run by our enthusiastic camp staff, we rely on the assistance of our registered adult volunteers and parents to help provide supervision and encouragement to their Cub Scouts.
Medical Form
All campers (youth and adults) are required to have parts A & B of the Medical Form. In part B, the immunization record must be completed and include dates. The date of the tetanus vaccine must be within the last 10 years. Medical forms are due upon check-in at camp.
Other Forms
Camp Check-in
The camp staff will contact your unit with your assigned check-in time.
